Ticket Reconfirmation
On arrival please hand in your ticket for reconfirmation to Chair, National
Organising Committee.
Daily
subsistence allowance
Daily subsistence allowance for sponsored delegates will be paid on arrival
at Kumasi. The DSA is to cover dinners and incidental expenses.
Currency
Ghanaian Cedis and pesewas
Notes: GH¢: 1.00, 5.00, 10.00, 20.00, 50.00
Coins: GHp: 1, 5, 10, 50 and GH¢: 1.00
Delegates who may wish to change (GH¢ 1.00= USD 1.00) currencies
may do so at the various foreign exchange bureaus available. Money exchange
services are also available at Hotels. Please take note that Credit Cards
are not very popular in Ghana and may be difficult to use outside the
Hotels.
Visas
A visa for your entry into Ghana may be required. Assistance would be
offered by the Organising Committee in the acquisition of visas in countries
where Ghana has no Consulate on arrival in Accra. Visa costs stand at
US$100.00.
Medical
Preventive immunizations or prophylaxis against Malaria may be recommended
for your travel to Ghana. You will be responsible for determining what
is appropriate in your case and for obtaining the required or recommended
immunizations. However, should any participant fall ill, they should contact
the Chair, National Organising Committee.
Security
Like many other large cities in the world, Kumasi has its share of personal
security problems though not acute and you are advised to take precautions
to avoid being the victim of crime:
